My apologies if you received my newsletter with some of the html codes showing (how embarassing!). Here it is (hopefully) without the codes.
As I say in Newsletter #1, the first edition was a bit of a test . . . don't think I scored too well :-(
Best regards--

THE MEDIEVAL TIMES--from Sharon Schulze
October 2005
Welcome--
--to my first (and very belated) newsletter! Please bear with me as I try out the newsletter format associated with my web site. If I like the way this works out, I'll use it again; if not, I'll try something new. Please feel free to contact me and let me know what you think.
If you've been to my web site (http://sharonschulze.com) recently, you'll already have read some of the news I have to share. First of all, I have a publication date--and a new title--for Book #7 of The l'Eau Clair Chronicles. For My Lady's Honor (formerly Lord of Her Heart) will be a March 2006 release from Harlequin Historicals®. I haven't been sent the cover for it yet; when I get it, I'll put it up on the site asap.
In the meantime, very soon (as soon as I get permission from TPTB at Harlequin) I'll begin posting teasers from For My Lady's Honor. In addition, shortly before the March 2006 pub. date, I'll post
the question(s) for Contest #3 (prize TBA).
My second bit of news is that I've begun to blog. If you're wondering just what a blog is, it's a web log--a kind of journal or posting of what I'm up to, what's on my mind, what books I'm working on . . . I'd love to know I'm not posting into a void, so if you'd like to chime in, check it out at
http://sharonschulze.blogspot.com
You may need to "join" Blogspot to post--however, it's easy, it's fast, and it's free (love that word :-)). I hope you'll check it out.
If you do happen to stop by my blog, you might also want to check out 2beread
http://toberead.blogspot.com
the blog of PASIC, the Published Authors Special Interest Chapter of Romance Writers of America®. At this blog you'll find posts from a number of wonderful authors, info about their upcoming books, links to their web sites, etc. It's a new venture, and looks to be a lot of fun!
In other news, I've been working on a new series, set in the late Georgian period, that I'm really enjoying. Yes, the books are set much later in time than my previous books--but I still managed to find ways to connect them to some old friends. I hope to have more news about these books soon.
However, I haven't abandoned the 13th century quite yet . . . I've also been considering a new medieval series, set immediately after the Chronicles. It's a slightly different approach to the time period, with a (mostly) new cast of characters . . . I'm still pondering all the possibilities (which is mind-boggling at times, but fun!). I'll keep you posted as soon as I've something new to report.
Finally, once For My Lady's Honor is out (March and April), I'm going to be doing a number of signings around New England, so be sure to check out the "Signings" section of the web site.
That's it for now! Please continue to check the web site for news, and let me know if there's anything you'd like to see that's not there.
